KTR just a tweet away for the needy

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao appears to be just a tweet away from help for all those seeking assistance either for oxygen concentrators or medicines in these pandemic times.

On Thursday, the Minister proved again that he is accessible and available for those in need, extending help in a matter of hours and winning the hearts of people in the process.

Rama Rao’s quick response to SOS messages has also had a rippled effect with Ministers and TRS leaders getting into the act in their respective areas to help the people.

Sravan Mortharti, a Twitter user could not believe himself when he received oxygen concentrator for his father within an hour of tweeting to the Minister. “I was explained clearly that cylinder provided was given after due testing with pressure requirements. I received concentrator within an hour of tweet. Kudos to your effort. Having this level of compassion and governance is next toย impossible,” he tweeted.

In a follow up tweet, Sravan said: “We are thankful for this help in this pandemic. Honestly, great governance and accountability sir, we are glad to have you as a leader,”

The Minister in a tweet replied “Welcome Sravan wish your father a speedy recovery,”

Tirumalesh Reddy Sunkara was also provided oxygen concentrator within hours of seeking help from the Minister. He tweeted “Within a span of two hours, we received oxygen concentrator. Thank you very much,”

Similarly, Srikanth had requested for injections and got them immediately.ย He tweeted: “Got injections. I really appreciate your support sir. Because of you, I am well settled today. I got a job through TASK programme, which was held at Karimnagar. Currently working in a reputed company with good package.”

The Minister responded in a tweet: “Happy we could help you with medicines. Also glad to note that TASK Karimnagar could get you a job. Good job @ TASK,”

When Prasad Koppineedi sought the Minister’s help and tweeted: “My professor Mohd.Abid Ali sir of Malla Reddy Engineering College is in dire need of ECMO treatment urgently. They have exhausted all their resources. Please help and donate as this is his last resort.”

The Minister responded immediately and directed TRS Malkajgiri Parliamentary constituency in-charge Marri Rajashekhar Reddy to personally handle this request. Reddy acted swiftly and replied to the Minister: “Anna, spoke to prof. Abid family and ensured that ECHMO bed is arranged,”.

Impressed with the Minister’s quick response and support to the needy, Ravi, a Twitter user, tweeted: “You are beating the Corporates. That’s Amazing,”.

In another tweet, the Minister said Telangana police was doing its best in this pandemic to restrict black-marketing of medicines and oxygen cylinders. In the second wave, 128 cases have been booked and 258 people have been arrested. “Anyone who has information on black marketing can dial 100 or tweet @telanganaDGP,” he tweeted.
