PKRC accepts donations of medical supplies

IPOH: Medical items worth more than RM50,000 were donated by the Perak Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCCI) to the COVID-19 Quarantine and Treatment Center (PKRC) Perak Badminton Arena, here yesterday.Chairman of the State Health, Environment and Green Technology Committee, Ustaz Mohd Akmal Kamarudin said, the contribution is to meet the needs of medical equipment in the PKRC.“The donation will definitely help the government to jointly fight COVID-19.Even the state government welcomes any Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) who wants to help."Although the hospital equipment is still at an adequate level, but it still needs to be improved from time to time," he said.Among the equipment donated by PCCCI included Oxygen Cylinder, Angelbiss Oxygen Concentrator, Infusion Pump and Crank Hospital Bed in the handover attended by Mohd Akmal.Also present were Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital Deputy Director, Dr Liaw Kok Toon and Kinta District Health Officer, Dr Asmah Zainal Abidin as well as Primary Medical and Health Officer, Dr Zainuddin Abd Hamid.In the meantime, Mohd Akmal also reminded the patients at PKRC to continue to work and be patient in dealing with COVID-19 infection which tests their health."Let's handle this pandemic and continue to pray and this effort needs the cooperation of all parties," he added.Earlier on September 10, Selama Hospital also received three Mechanical Hi-Lo Hospital Beds handed over by the Ibnu Sina Medical Organization Malaysia (PAPISMA) Perak.- HARAKAHDAILY 18/9/2021
