Inogen announced that it has launched its Inogen Connect commercially for its respiratory products.

The Inogen Connect is a wireless connectivity platform that is designed for the Inogen One G4 through its direct-to-consumer channel. The company plans to launch it in the domestic business-to-business channel during the first quarter of 2019.

Inogen Connect features a front-end mobile application that is used by oxygen therapy users. It also has a back-end database portal that is used by home care providers. The platform’s app works through Apple and Android devices and can give information about oxygen purity status, battery run time, product support functions, notification alerts and remote software updates.

Inogen suggests that the back-end database portal could help drive operational efficiencies with its remote troubleshooting, equipment health checks and a location tracker.
