Ventilator-Oxygen Assistance Sent By Singapore Army Aircraft

Singapore sent medical equipment assistance, such as ventilators as well as oxygen cylinders and PPE, to handle the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.The aid was transported using Singapore air force aircraft.The aid from Singapore was handed over directly by Singapore's Minister of Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan through the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Suryo Pratomo, at Paya Lebar Air Base Singapore.The aid from Singapore will be sent in two stages of delivery, in detail consisting of 200 ventilators, 756 oxygen cylinders, 600 oxygen concentrators, and various PPE needs.The handover was also attended by representatives from the Singapore Ministry of Defense and the Singapore Armed Force (SAF).The Singaporean government sent assistance to handle COVID-19 which was addressed to the Indonesian Ministry of Health, the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, and the Indonesian Armed Forces Headquarters.In the first stage, 200 ventilators, 250 empty oxygen cylinders, 30 oxygen concentrators, and medical equipment were sent using 2 (two) C-130 aircraft belonging to the RSAF (Singapore Air Force).Meanwhile, the rest of the assistance will be sent using the Singapore Navy Ship (RSN) on July 11, 2021 to the Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta.Ambassador Suryo Pratomo appreciated the assistance provided from Singapore not only from the government, but also from private companies.This assistance from Singapore shows that Indonesia is a true friend."Singapore has shown to be a true friend to Indonesia.
