Because we don't know what the patient's symptoms are like and the treatment is different for each person," Rino said when contacted by CNNIndonesia.com , Friday (23/7).As is known, the product that filters nitrogen from the air is currently available for sale online.In fact, oxygen machines that use electricity are also widely offered in online stores.According to Rino, giving oxygen to patients without consulting a doctor first may do more harm than good.It may be that the patient is taking in too much or too little oxygen.Moreover, he said, treatment for serious conditions such as Covid-19 patients still had to follow doctor's recommendations."Each portable oxygen concentrator that is often sold also has limitations, especially in the oxygen flow rate. There is a measurement of how many liters per minute, if it turns out the flow rate is less but the need is higher. For the treatment of patients, all of them can give doctor directions," he said.Rino warns that it is possible for someone to get a wrong or inaccurate understanding of the instructions for using the oxygen concentrator if it is used at home.Therefore, it should be used under the supervision of a doctor."It could be unsafe, for example, this object lacks specifications while the patient needs more than that, in the end the patient is not helped.
